It is a Roman red granite sarcophagus with a lid featuring pediments at its four corners and the center of its lateral sides. The sarcophagus’ body is decorated with garlands and grape branches. Circular shapes can be observed within the wreaths’ centers.
Condition assessment
The sarcophagus body is exposed to wind erosion. Nevertheless, the structural material of the sarcophagus has greatly helped to preserve it from weather factors and deliberate human vandalism.
