A City of Cultural and Religious Diversity

Alexandria is a unique city in Egypt, embracing different cultures and religions. This cultural diversity is reflected in the city’s neighborhoods and streets, which possess a long history of a number of races and communities that inhabited its land. The “Aslo Iskandarani” initiative provides an opportunity for participants to discover new and valuable heritage sites, learning about the city’s rich past and its influence on modern-day Alexandria.

Discovering Ancient Alexandria

The initiative also offers a variety of tours focused on ancient Alexandria. These tours take participants to some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, such as the Serapeum, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, and the Greco-Roman Museum. Through these tours, participants can learn about Alexandria’s ancient past and its role as a major center of learning and culture.

Highlighting Alexandria's Architectural Heritage

The “Aslo Iskandarani” initiative also emphasizes Alexandria’s architectural heritage. Tours such as “Palaces turned into museums in el-Raml” and “The architectural heritage on Fouad Street” allow participants to discover the city’s unique architectural style and learn about the history of its buildings.

Unveiling Alexandria's Maritime Heritage

Since the beginning of the initiative, marine tours by yacht have been conducted to learn about the maritime heritage and underwater heritage.
