Children Program

Introduction

Raquda Foundation has been working on children’s programmes since 2017, with the aim of involving all age groups of society in the process of preserving and disseminating heritage, raising the child, shaping his personality, and acquainting him with cultural heritage in a way that aims to develop mental and physical abilities. Workshops are conducted to suit all targeted age groups, ranging from four years old, highlighting the talents and abilities of children in the following areas: science, archaeology, art, heritage, culture, and how to manage and market the heritage.

Children's Programmes and Workshops

Many workshops have been held to teach many different types of drawing—artistic artefacts and traditional handicrafts using various materials such as gypsum, copper, clay, glass, textiles, and wood—such as glass painting workshops, pottery teaching workshops, collage and copper pressing workshops, and antiquities restoration workshops using materials suitable for children.

Partnerships and Collaborations

The Raquda Foundation has collaborated with several distinguished entities that are concerned with conveying the idea of heritage to children, including schools such as Girard School and cultural centres such as the Goethe Institute and the French Cultural Center.

They also cooperated with governmental bodies concerned with heritage preservation, such as the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, the Ministry of Culture and the Fine Arts sector, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and several workshops were hosted in the Mahmoud Said Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts.
