Al Herafi (The Craftsmanship Project)

The project was launched in 2021 with the organization of the Raquda Foundation for Art and Heritage and in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports and the UNDP. The project aims to teach and document heritage crafts and raise awareness of their importance to the Egyptian economy and the local population through a number of workshops such as (burning on wood, decoupage, digging, gyping and many others…) 

One of the objectives of the craftsman project is to assist crafts owners in their work marketing, to teach women and graduates a craft through which they can provide them with a job opportunity, and to encourage small business owners to continue producing different products from our Egyptian heritage.
