Raquda Foundation's Commitment to Capacity Building

The Raquda Foundation is committed to building the capacity of individuals and organizations to conserve Egypt’s natural and cultural heritage. Through a variety of capacity-building activities, the Foundation helps to ensure that Egypt’s heritage is protected for future generations.

Capacity-Building Conferences

The Raquda Foundation has participated a number of capacity-building conferences, including:

  • Second Diagnostic Report Consultative Workshop – Preparation of the National Post-2020 Strategy for Marine and Coastal Reserves (MCPAs) Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs) in Egypt’s Mediterranean Coast/Ministry of Egyptian Environment
  • Capacity-building workshop in writing Egypt’s periodic report on the Convention on the Intangible Cultural Heritage 
  • Initiative of Alexandria World Heritage Centre Simulation
Awards and Recognition

The Raquda Foundation has been recognized for its commitment to capacity building. In 2023, the Foundation won the Excellence Award for the Category of Institutions in the Golden Cubes Competition sponsored by the Egyptian Architecture House and the Cultural Development Fund.
