The Iskandrona Exhibition is an annual art exhibition that documents Alexandria’s heritage through the eyes of Egyptian artists and creators. The sixth season of the exhibition will focus on the documentation of transport lines and stations in Alexandria, which express the urban planning of this charming coastal city and Egypt’s northern gateway for thousands of years.

Sixth Season (2023): Documentation of Transport Lines and Stations in Alexandria
The sixth season of the Iskandrona Exhibition explores the theme of transport lines and stations in Alexandria. This theme is particularly relevant as Alexandria was Egypt’s first transport innovation station, and its transportation networks have played an important role in the city’s development for thousands of years.
Fifth Season (2022): Documentation of Fish Markets in Alexandria
The fifth season of the Iskandrona Exhibition documented fish markets in Alexandria, including the Anfushi Fish Ring and the Maidan Square Market. Fish markets play a significant role in Alexandria’s economy and society, and they offer a unique glimpse into the city’s coastal culture.
Fourth Season (2021): Documentation of Alexandria's Intangible Cultural Heritage
The fourth season of the Iskandrona Exhibition focused on documenting Alexandria’s intangible cultural heritage. Intangible cultural heritage refers to traditions, practices, and expressions that are passed down from generation to generation. It includes oral traditions, performing arts, community practices, rituals, holidays, and knowledge or practices of nature and the universe.
Third Season (2019): Architectural Heritage of Alexandria
The third season of the Iskandrona Exhibition documented the architectural heritage of Alexandria. Alexandria has a rich architectural history that spans over 2,000 years. The exhibition showcased the city’s ancient architecture, as well as its more recent architectural landmarks.
Second Season (2017): Cycling to Alexandria Heritage Initiative
The second season of the Iskandrona Exhibition was organized on the sidelines of the Cycling to Alexandria Heritage Initiative. This initiative aims to promote awareness and appreciation of Alexandria’s heritage through cycling tours of the city. The exhibition was opened by Dr. Al Saeed Abbas, Professor at the Faculty of Art, Alexandria University, Department of Printed Designs
First Season (2016): Opening Celebration
The first season of Iskandrona is the opening celebration of the Raquda’s office in November, 2016 as we open for the whole artists and who have talent to share their works of Alexandria.
The Iskandrona Exhibition is an important platform for raising awareness of Alexandria’s heritage and celebrating the city’s unique identity. It is also a testament to the creativity and talent of Egyptian artists.
